Identify and direct operations of the Cancer Registry to meet the requirements of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS), Commission on Cancer (CoC), Joint Commission, state and federal regulations, and Cooper University Health Care.
Coordinate the Cancer Committee activities to ensure compliance with current CoC Cancer Program Standards and oversee the ACoS survey preparation.
Coordinate with the Breast Leadership to ensure compliance with current NAPBC Program Standards and oversee the NAPBC survey preparation.
Supervise staff and be responsible for identifying/abstracting cases of reportable neoplasms and maintaining a complete and accurate database of all reportable neoplasms according to established standards and guidelines.
Implement and maintain the follow up system in compliance with hospital, governmental, and regulatory requirements and will ensure and maintain accuracy and completeness of the follow up databases
Maintain credential of CTR (certified tumor registrar)
Will perform any and all job related duties as assigned.
Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday – Friday
A minimum of 3 years experience in Tumor registry required
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
Current NJ-CTR certification (Certified Tumor Registrar)
Supervisory experience preferred.
High School, College level: Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology.
