Introduction
Kennedy Health System,
a three-hospital integrated healthcare
delivery system affiliated with the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New
Jersey located in Southern New Jersey, is
currently seeking a Cancer Registrar at our
Washington Township, NJ campus. The
Kennedy Health System is a member of the
Penn Cancer Network and is the only
healthcare system in Camden, Burlington and
Gloucester counties to hold this
distinction.
Building upon the
strengths of Kennedy’s established cancer
program, Kennedy physicians and patients
have access to the full continuum of
specialty and subspecialty care and
resources available through the Abramson
Cancer Center of the University of
Pennsylvania – including innovative
preventative, diagnostic and treatment
services, an extensive clinical trials
program, as well as research and education
programs that benefit cancer patients and
their families.
Job Description
In this key role, the
Cancer Registrar will:
-
Abstract
appropriate data from the cancer patient
medical record in accordance with the
New Jersey State Cancer Registry and the
American College of Surgeons’ standards
and transmit appropriate data to the New
Jersey State Cancer Registry.
-
This position will
work in collaboration with physicians,
allied health professionals and other
registrars.
-
Additional
responsibilities include preparing
reports, participating in on-site
reviews, and the management of disease
related data collecting systems
Qualifications
The qualified candidate
will:
-
Be a High School
graduate or equivalent, with a minimum
of 1-3 years Cancer Registry experience.
-
Have an Associates
or Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years
experience preferred.
-
CTR or CTR eligible
required.
-
Ability to handle
confidential information appropriately
and computer knowledge of specialized
software for cancer registry required.

Introduction
Saint Michaels Medical
Center is a teaching hospital in Newark
NJ with an on-site Center consisting of
2 Linear Accelerators and an infusion
suite with eight chairs and a dedicated
chemotherapy pharmacy. We also have the
Connie Dwyer Breast Center that has
doubled its volume in only one year.
Job Description
The position would
require abstracting of charts into the
registry database which is Metriq. This
position is very flexible in hours and
days.
Required Qualifications
Certified Tumor
Registrar with at least one year
experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Metriq
and experience with ACoS CoC
requirements

Media, PA has an immediate need for an
Oncology Data Supervisor.
Job Description
The Oncology Data
Services Supervisor will coordinate the
Cancer Program/Cancer Registry
activities to fulfill the requirements
for approval by accrediting agencies (ACOS),
directly supervise and educate the
Oncology staff, be the CME coordinator
for the cancer program and assists with
all cancer prevention screening
programs. The Supervisor must
possess the technical knowledge and
clinical skills necessary to maintain
the components of an oncology-related
data collection system in a manner
consistent with all requirements of the
health care delivery system—medical,
administrative, ethical, legal and
regulatory.
