Abstracts to be completed in accordance with the NJ State rules and regulations and the ACoS standards. Assist the Cancer Program Coordinator in completion of special projects, interact with the Medical Staff physicians. Required Qualifications Requirements of this position include: Previous experience in cancer registry (5 yrs). Knowledge and experience with FORDS and Collaborative staging, AJCC and SEER staging required. Excellent organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications include: Associates Degree in Cancer Registry Management Program. Current certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) Education Qualifications Associates Degree in Cancer Registry Management or Associates Degree in Health Information Management. Job Description Main Line Health is seeking an Oncology Data Specialist to join our team at Riddle Hospital, Media PA The Oncology Data Specialist must possess the technical knowledge and skills necessary to maintain the components of an oncology related data collection system in a manner consistent with all requirements of the health care delivery system; medical, administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory. Required Qualifications Must be a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) with minimum of one year experience. May consider individuals who are Board eligible within 6-12 months. Candidate must also possess a strong background in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, health information/oncology coding systems and computer applications. Education Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Cancer/Health Information Management or completion of an accredited Cancer Registry Training program required.
